T'anu ʔIšɨmiʔ is rooted in Indigenous land stewardship and community care in the Tahoe Basin. Hosted by Washiw Zulshish Goom Tahn-Nu (Washoe Warrior Society), this gathering supports our programming and advocacy across three pillars:

  • LandBack in the Tahoe Basin: advancing Indigenous sovereignty, land stewardship, and rights of nature
  • Youth Leadership & Mentorship: investing in the next generation of stewards
  • Traditional Ecological Knowledge: honoring and practicing the wisdom of the land, and food as medicine
